Jagan To shift His Base To Bengaluru ?

Sunday, December 22, 2024

Former Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to shift his base to Bengaluru permanently as per the latest reports from his party sources. After facing an unprecedented defeat in the hands of NDA alliance in the recent assembly elections, Jagan seems to be very disappointed and often making trips to his residence in Bengaluru.

Immediately after taking oath as MLA on the first day of assembly last month, Jagan skipped the remaining sessions and went to Pulivendula to meet his supporters. From there, he reached his Bengaluru palace and spent a week there before returning to Vijayawada on July 1st. He is once again heading to Bengaluru on Monday.

Reportedly, Jagan wants to move permanently to Bengaluru and attend  Tadepalli palace whenever there are any party related activities. He feels that there no purpose for him to stay in Tadepalli and bide time. As the new government formed recently and needs time for fulfilling its promises, Jagan wants to shift to Bengaluru and occassionally come to the state to address the party issues.

Jagan was initially supposed to start Praja Darbar from Monday at Tadepalli. Arrangements were made to hear public grievances and also to meet lower rung leaders in all districts to strengthen the party at grassroot level. However, the program has been postponed due to unknown reasons.

Even when he was the Chief Minister of the state, Jagan remained inaccessible to the public and his party leaders. The dedicated Spandana program for this purpose also ended as a failure as it was postponed several times in the last five years.

Jagan is expected to spend a week in Bengaluru with his family. Whether he takes part in the assembly budget sessions that will commence later this month is not yet known.
