YSR Congress party president and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy tried to wash off the allegations made by the ruling government regarding the adulteration of Laddu prasadam by taking a trip to Tirumala hills on Saturday. This controversial decision has heated up the political cauldron of the state.
Meanwhile, the TTD board prepared to insist Jagan sign the mandatory declaration prescribed for Non-Hindus before entering the temple premises. He skipped this practice when he was the CM. As there is a lot of pressure on Jagan now to follow the rules and give the declaration of faith, he has no option but to cancel his plans at the last minute. He immediately started blaming the government for his decision.
Addressing the media in the afternoon, Jagan said Andhra Pradesh is under demon’s rule and there is no freedom even to seek blessings of god. Jagan said new rules and restrictions are imposed in the state unlike anywhere in the country. He blamed the government and said that it is threatening those who are ready to join him during the Tirupathi trip by giving notices of Section 30.
Jagan said Chandrababu’s government is making politics in the name of declaration. He alleged that the sanctity of the temple has been tarnished with a malafide intention. He further claimed that it is a routine process to procure ghee through tenders for TTD and it happened several times in the past when many trucks were returned due to failure of tests.
Jagan said that the government made these unsubstantial allegations only to divert the attention of the public over its failure to implement the poll promises. He once again sang the same song by saying that trucks of ghee were sent back 18 times during 2014-19 and 15 times when he was the Chief Minister.
He also alleged that the low-quality ghee was found only after the new government came to power and the test samples were sent to Gujarat NDDB for the first time as they were previously sent to CFTRI in Mysuru.
