Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy made it clear one can grow politically only when he is in the opposition and if one works for the people and earns a good name, they will support them. Speaking at a meeting of YSRCP youth wing representatives held at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, Jagan said that every youth activist should work towards becoming an MLA.
He advised to always interact with the people and greet them with a smile, and to fight together when they face difficulties. He cautioned that values and credibility are important in politics and that he always follows them. He said that when a leader is in power, his focus is on the distribution of posts and not on everyone else.
Jagan explained that if one wants to grow as a leader at such a time, it is possible to do so in the opposition. He accused that TDP had worked together with Congress in the combined state of AP and it did not come together when a no-confidence motion was introduced on electricity charges.
He said that village, ward and mandal committees should be formed with the youth, and that if they take initiative with a clear plan, they will grow politically, and everyone should work together for that. He cautioned that if the government fabricates cases, they will take care of it and not be discouraged.
Jagan said that working presidents will be appointed along with the youth wing president and suggested that the youth, women, students and farmers wings should be strong organizationally, and the SC and BC wings should also be strong. YCP youth wing president Jakkampudi Raja and working president Byreddy Siddhartha Reddy participated in this meeting.
Meanwhile, Jakkampudi Raja accused that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has cheated and deceived the youth and that he is making devious attempts to mislead the people by not implementing the promises made before the elections. He criticized that they have not implemented a single promise, have not provided the benefits promised to unemployed youth, and are still making deceptive statements.
