YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Foundation Day witnessed former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy making a forceful political declaration. Flag-hoisting on party supporters and members, he reiterated the central mission of the party being the “Voice of the Voiceless.”
Jagan clarified that YSRCP has never been averse to being in the opposition and promised to keep struggling for the welfare and rights of the people, come what may.
Jagan was strong in opposing the coalition government, highlighting that within only nine months, public discontent has risen considerably. He accused the ruling party of not fulfilling promises and alleged that the trust deficit of citizens is escalating.
He stated that YSRCP’s power is drawn from its cadres at the grass-root level, a community of committed workers who relentlessly assist the people. He vowed that YSRCP would not retract its role of waging battle on behalf of the state for the benefit of its people.
Looking back on the 15-year journey of YSRCP, Jagan recognized the challenges, difficulties, and achievements the party has encountered. He asserted with pride that YSRCP has remained dedicated to value-based politics and has at all times kept its word and performed.
“Each YSRCP worker can boldly affirm that we have ever remained true to our commitment and worked tirelessly for the people,” he added.
Jagan reaffirmed that YSRCP was established to struggle for the rights of the people and that the party would continue to be a force to reckon with against failures in governance, whether in power or opposition.
In a major announcement, Jagan declared that YSRCP will be launching statewide protests to demand the immediate clearance of pending student welfare dues, including Fee Reimbursement and Vasathi Deevena.
He accused the ruling government of neglecting students and failing to implement key educational support schemes, despite making grand promises before the elections.
“The youth have been betrayed. This government has done nothing but deceive students and their families,” he said.
As part of his future strategy, Jagan urged party workers and leaders to engage directly with the people. He outlined his plan for district-wide tours and confirmed that by the end of this month, new district presidents will be appointed to strengthen the party’s presence at the local level.
YSRCP will also be rolling out extensive outreach programs to better understand the people’s concerns and fight for their rights.
Concluding firmly and confidently, Jagan stated that YSRCP will see a robust revival in the ensuing elections. Jagan showed hope in the cadre of the party, who is committed to work, and said that YSRCP will continue to be in the people’s side, contest their causes, and be an invincible force in politics.
