Jagan Likely To Replace Vijaysai Reddy with Perni Nani As North Andhra YCP Incharge

After key leader Vijayasai Reddy has left the party and also quits politics, former chief minister and YCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy is said to be searching for a suitable alternate to look after party affairs in north Andhra. Somehow whoever being appointed as North Andhra incharge, they are leaving with controversies.

Now, Jaganmohan Reddy is said to be considering deputy former minister and `fire brand’ leader Perni Nani to look after party affairs in North Andhra. For a long time, he has continued with a powerful spokesperson of the party and also the government.

After several leaders are leaving the party, Jaganmohan Reddy has reporteldy focusing on reorganization of the party set-up and decision on the North Andhra issue will be taken on 12^th of this month, after a meeting with the party leaders from those districts. He has already said to discuss this issue with the Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Botsa Sathyanarayana.

Before beginning his district wise tours from Ugadi, the former chief minister wanted to set right the party functioning after last year’s disastrous defeat in the polls. He has been conducting a series of meetings with key leaders of the party from his Bengaluru palace.

Vijayasai Reddy, who was in the number two position in the party, has recently decided to quit politics. After coming to power, with the beginning of Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy’s domination in party and government affairs, Vijayasai Reddy was confined to North Andhra, making him as incharge of the region.

However, later he was removed due to allegations of corruption and also differences with the party leaders. Later, YV Subba Reddy was sent there, but he was also unable to continue for a long time. In 2024, Vijayasai Reddy was given the responsibility of the Guntur district elections.

But, after Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy left the party, he was unexpectedly asked to contest from the Nellore Lok Sabha seat,only to be defeated. Later, after elections again Vijayasai Reddy was given the task of North Andhra recently. But, he hardly showed any interest.  Now, after his exit from the party Jaganmohan Reddy has chosen Perni Nani for this task.
