The MLC elections of MLA quota repeated the Graduate MLC results for the ruling party YSRCP. The Opposition party TDP managed to win its MLC seat as the candidate Anuradha pulled the needed 23 votes despite having a couple of defective MLAs from the TDP. YSRCP, keen on winning all seven seats, was furious with losing its one MLC seat to the TDP. Even though the loss is slight comparatively, it shows the downfall of Jagan Sarkar in the AP.
Frustrated Chief of YSRCP, Jagan Mohan Reddy who was completely upset with the two MLC elections results have called up for an internal party meeting and enquired about the reasons for the defeat. After a couple of discussions, four of the sitting MLAs of YSRCP have cross voted for TDP as they are unhappy with the ruling of Jagan. Number two of YSRCP, Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy post elections conducted a Press meeting to declare that their boss is suspending four of the party MLAs for their dissidence.
Sajjala claimed that the Opposition leader of TDP, Chandrababu Naidu had offered 10 crores and 15 crores packages to their MLAs alongside offering the B-form in the upcoming elections thereby luring the four votes which resulted in the win of TDP’s Anuradha as the MLC. So they have suspended the four dissent MLAs namely Kotamreddy Venkat Reddy, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, and Undavalli Sridevi. Sajjala stated that it is MLA’s wish to resign from the party as they are suspended or still continue despite the suspension.
