Jagan announced the establishment of a Sikh corporation in A.P

The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced the establishment of Sikh Corporation in the state during a meeting with a delegation of Sikhs led by Jithendrajith Singh.

Getting into the details, during the meeting the Sikh delegation expressed their gratitude regarding the welfare schemes extended by the government for the minorities. They also put forward their concerns about the need for a separate corporation for Sikhs to have an effective implementation of the schemes brought up by the government. They also requested the chief minister to give the exemption of Gurdwaras from the property tax. The chief minister right away declared that they will form a committee separately for Sikhs which aims to address the needs and aspirations of the committee. Responding to the exemption of property tax, Jagan has asked the officials to implement it immediately.

Jagan has also announced that Guru Nanak Jayanthi will be a state holiday and assured that the government will extend its full support in establishing a minority educational institution.
