Bollywood star kid Jahnvi Kapoor, daughter of yesteryear actress Sridevi, is yet to have her first pan-India release. But, she seems to be in great demand all over South India as producers are making a beeline to grab her dates by offering a fat paycheck.
That she is the leading lady in RRR actor NTR’s upcoming multilingual actioner Devara is known news. Now, the latest reports suggest that Jahnvi has been roped in to play the romantic interest of the other RRR actor Ram Charan in the upcoming sports drama which is tentatively titled RC16.
RC16 is touted to be a rural drama with a Kabbadi backdrop. Tollywood director Buchi Babu Sana is going to helm this big-budget entertainer which has Ram Charan playing a handicapped kabbadi player who hails from the Uttarandhra region of the present Andhra Pradesh. Over the last few months, names of several heroines surfaced on the media with the most recent being Samantha. However, the team refuted the news.
As Jahnvi Kapoor set sights on making a strong foothold in South Cinema because of her mother’s popularity among audiences here, filmmakers are not blinking an eyelid to offer her whatever she demands. In Devara, she plays a village belle. In RC16, she will be seen in a similar role as per our sources.
The makers of RC16 felt that bringing Jahnvi on board for this project which features an ensemble cast in the form of Vijay Sethupathi and Shivaraj Kumar, will only add further hype.
The regular shooting of RC 16 will commence in a couple of months. Mythri Movie Makers will bankroll the project.
