The BRS MP Kavita is facing a tough time with her name floating up in the sensational national case of a liquor scam. As everything went back to normal, her name again surfaced multiple times in the latest report of ED.
The Delhi liquor scam probe is getting deeper with each passing day and the CBI is enquiring about all the names that are given by the accused. Kavitha’s name surfaced for the first time during the remand report of Amit Arora and later she was called for questioning by CBI in the capital. The daughter of Telangana CM tried her best to avoid but she eventually ended up being questioned for her alleged links with the AAP leaders along with the businessman Sarat Chandra Reddy and Sameer Mahendru. Post her CBI visit, the ED submitted a detailed report of 180 pages and Kavita’s name surfaced as many as 28 times, irking the Telangana MP. Now that the severity of her links against the accused has increased, sources say that she will be called by the ED not for regular questioning but for a deep probe to tighten the grip against her.
Both Enforcement and Income Tax departments feel that the evidence against Kavitha with her links with the accused businessmen who got the liquor license along with meeting the AAP leaders is strong enough and served the notices to her yet again. Meanwhile, Kavitha is consulting her father KCR to chalk out plans in order to get out of this swamp.
