New Delhi: In a decisive retaliation to the brutal terrorist attack that claimed the lives of 26 innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, the Indian Army launched Operation Sindoor, targeting multiple terror hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The precision strikes reportedly destroyed at least nine key terrorist bases, prompting widespread approval across the country.
Following the Pahalgam massacre, there was an outpouring of public anger and a strong demand for retribution against Pakistan, which is widely believed to be harbouring terrorist elements. Responding to this sentiment, Indian armed forces carried out coordinated operations across the border, delivering a strong message against terrorism.
The operation has received praise from all quarters. Citizens and prominent personalities from various fields — including cinema, politics, and sports — have publicly commended the armed forces for their swift and courageous action. From the Telugu film industry, actors Chiranjeevi, Jr. NTR, Allu Arjun, and Sai Dharam Tej were among those who expressed solidarity with the Indian Army on social media.
Meanwhile, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma reacted to Operation Sindoor with a satirical comment on X (formerly Twitter). Referencing the Pahalgam incident, he posted, “The terrorist killed a woman’s husband and told her to go tell Modi… now the woman really did tell Modi.” The post quickly gained traction online, drawing widespread attention for its biting sarcasm.
The Indian Army’s actions under Operation Sindoor have been widely perceived as a significant step in countering terrorism and reaffirming India’s resolve to protect its citizens and uphold national security.
