India Blames Pakistan For Ceasefire Violation, Army Takes Swift Action

Wednesday, December 10, 2025

India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has accused Pakistan of breaching the ceasefire understanding at the border, calling the move “highly condemnable” and a violation of the agreement reached between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both nations. Addressing the media in New Delhi on Saturday night, Misri stated that the responsibility for the ceasefire breach rests entirely with Pakistan and described its actions as “heinous.”

According to Misri, both countries held DGMO-level talks at 3:35 PM, during which an agreement was reached to implement a ceasefire beginning at 5:00 PM. The agreement covered ceasefire obligations across land, air, and sea domains, with instructions issued to the respective military commands. Despite this, Pakistan allegedly deployed drones into Indian territory shortly after the agreement came into effect, prompting the Indian Army to respond swiftly.

Military sources confirmed that all drones spotted near the 25 Corps headquarters in Srinagar were neutralised. Additionally, gunfire was reported in parts of Srinagar, as noted by former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on social media. Misri reiterated that Indian forces have been given full authority to respond to any further provocations and expressed hope that Pakistan would halt its violations going forward.
