The novel virus of COVID-19 is still making the world crazy even after years of its outbreak. There is a sudden increase of new variant cases across the world and India got altered with these shocking developments in the virus. The government directed the health department to take measures not to have the same situation in India.
Going into the details, the new variant is taking away lives yet again in the country of China and the country is again back in the position of lockdown protocol. There are also increased cases in Japan and the USA within no time. India however has only 1200 active cases as of now but seeing the widespread use of the new variant, the Department of Health and Family Welfare passed strict guidelines to all the states and union territories of India asking them to take safety measures.
The secretary of health, Rajesh Bhushan in his urgent and detailed report stated that all the new cases shall be contained without any spread and observed in order to know the genome of the variant. He passed ‘Operational guidelines for Revised Surveillance Strategy in the context of COVID-19’ to direct all the states for the early detection, isolation, testing, and reporting of new variant cases. Needless to say, these urgent measures might prevent the virus from outbreak across the country. The health department is advising all citizens to take individual care along with the government’s guidelines.
