In Mumbai actress Kadambari Jethwani’s illegal detention and torture case, another twist unearthed. It was revealed that a false case was registered against her Delhi-based friend Amit Shingh, after YCP leader Kukkala Vidyasagar informer senior IPS officers his arrest would bring pressure on her.
While investigating Jethwani’s case, Vijayawada police were shocked after finding out about this case at Patamata Police Station. After her illegal arrest and seizure of five Apple iphones belonging to her, she was put under extreme pressure to tell the passwords to erase the evidence contained in them against the Mumbai-based industrialist, for whose rescue they brought her.
When the police informed Vidyasagar that she was not telling the passwords despite pressure, he told them that Jethwani has good contacts with a person named Amit Singh from Delhi. The officials, who had already created forged documents to register a case against Jethwani, followed the same procedure to bring Amit Singh also.
They thought that if Amit Singh was brought from Delhi without any evidence, a controversy would arise. So, they prepared another sketch. The Patamata police raided a spa center in Nara Chandrababu Naidu Colony on February 11th and registered a case against some young women from Manipur claiming that prostitution is going on there.
Spa center manager Tamang (Manipur) was included as A-1. Amit Singh was implicated as A-2 claiming to be a witness. Actually he was in Delhi at that time. The police, who kept the Ibrahimpatnam case confidential, have released to the media the details of the spa center searches that took place in Patamata Police Station.
One of the mistakes made by the police officers in the Jethwani case was to book the flight tickets first. The same mistake was made in the case of Amit Singh. The police conducted searches in the spa center on February 11 and colored it as if prostitution was taking place. Here also flight tickets were booked from the commissioner’s office on the previous day. A police team went there by plane, but they turned back as he could not be found.
In the false case registered against Jethwani already three IPS officers were suspended, besides two other police officers. All of them have been included as accused in the case registered with the complaint of Kadambari. Now, the fate of some more police officers hangs in balance in the Patamata case also.
