Andhra Pradesh is currently facing intense rainfall due to the development of a strong depression in the Bay of Bengal. The weather system, which has now intensified into a cyclone, is advancing northwest at a pace. As of now, it is positioned approximately from Chennai, Puducherry, Nellore. The Andhra Pradesh Disaster Management Authority has issued a warning, indicating that the cyclone is likely to make landfall between Puducherry and Nellore, close to Chennai, by early tomorrow morning. Authorities are advising residents in coastal areas to remain vigilant as the situation develops.

Some isolated areas could experience exceptionally heavy rainfall. A red alert has been issued for several districts as authorities prepare for potential flooding and disruption. On Thursday, more intense rainfall is likely in certain regions. Coastal areas are also expected to witness strong winds. Fishermen are strongly advised to avoid venturing into the sea, and residents are urged to remain alert and take necessary safety precautions.

Today, heavy rainfall is anticipated across several districts in Andhra Pradesh, including Prakasam, Nellore, Tirupati, Chittoor, Annamayya, and Kadapa. Kakinada, Dr. B.R.
