YSRCP Chief YS Jagan held a full-fledged party meeting with all his 151 MLAs and supporters to review and declare a couple of things. The AP CM has said his bottom line of the meeting is to assure the leaders and supporters to erase their doubts.
The growing anti-incumbency in the state for the ruling party combined with the latest surveys speculated that the YSRCP head Jagan was not happy with some of his MLA’s performances. Thus he was rumored to replace almost 60 of his MLAs for the upcoming election and would give chance to new leaders who assure a sure shot win for the YSRCP. Adding fuel to the flame, the MLC elections resulted in a huge embarrassment to the ruling party and Jagan was reportedly furious at his own Ministers for wrong handling the elections.
Amidst all this, Jagan in the meeting held in the Mangalagiri assured all the MLAs and YSRCP leaders that he won’t leave even one and would keep supporting them no matter what. He reiterated that he is not going to replace any of the existing MLAs by promising them a ticket yet again. However, Jagan has directed them to do the program ‘Gadapa Gadapaku’ more aggressively in order to increase their graphs and to win again. Political experts say that the MLC elections have changed the thoughts of AP CM and he has started the damage control mode in order to not lose any more MLAs from his camp.
