I switched off my phone to escape political parties pressure: Prakash Raj

The versatile actor Prakash Raj has made headlines by revealing staggering details about his political demands. The actor-turned-politician declared that he was getting pressured by the political parties to work for them.

Prakash Raj who is known for his criticism of BJP and Prime Minister Modi has graced a literature event in Kochi. The senior actor of the South Indian Cinema said that politics in India has to be accountable and he will work for it as the taxpayers need to know what the government is doing. The Kanchipuram actor declared that three political parties have been forcing him to join their parties offering him Lok Sabha tickets solely to criticize Modi and the NDA sarkar but he chose not to. Raj went further and added that he even switched off his mobile as the calls from the parties became more and more. The 58-year-old actor felt that he never hated Modi but only pointed out his accountability being the Prime Minister.

Prakash Raj forayed into active politics in the year 2019 as he contested as an Independent from Bengaluru Central but lost in it. Despite being a hater of the BJP, Prakash opts to go independent rather than join any opposition parties.
