Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand conducted a roundtable meeting on the use of DJs and fireworks during rallies. This meeting follows the recent announcement by DGP Jitender, who stated that guidelines regarding DJs in the city would soon be issued. During the meeting, C.V. Anand noted that there have been numerous complaints about loud DJ noises, which are causing difficulties, especially for the elderly.
Anand mentioned that loud DJ sounds are causing anxiety, with some expressing concerns about heart palpitations. He pointed out that excessive DJ music and dance performances are occurring during Ganesh immersions and Milad-un-Nabi celebrations, similar to those seen in pubs. Anand highlighted that there have been many complaints urging the authorities to control DJ noise levels, which prompted the meeting with various stakeholders.
Anand stated that feedback would be collected from all participants, and a report would be submitted to the government for review. The final decision will be made by the government based on this report. He also expressed concerns that uncontrolled DJ noise could harm people’s health. The meeting was attended by police officials from Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda, GHMC Commissioner Amrapali, and leaders from various parties, including Congress, BJP, AIMIM, and BRS.
