HUDCO Decided To Release Rs 11,000 crore For Capital Amaravati

HUDCO has decided to release Rs. 11,000 crores for the construction of the AP capital Amaravati. Municipal Administration Minister Dr. P. Narayana said that this was decided in the HUDCO board meeting held in Mumbai. He said that the HUDCO responded positively for their negotiations with it towards this loan amount.

He expressed hope that with this HUDCO decision, the works of the capital Amaravati will be accelerated. Tenders have been called for several works after the World Bank and ADB sanctioned loans.

In the assembly elections held in May and June last year, Andhra Pradesh voters gave the massive mandate towards the coalition parties. With this, the Chandrababu Naidu-led coalition government has been focusing on Amaravati works.

As the previous YS Jaganmohan Reddy government has stopped all the works, for the last five years, from 2019 to May 2024, the state capital has been unknown to the people of Andhra Pradesh. Moreover, BJP top leaders, Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah also announced during the last year’s election campaign that they would also provide assistance for the construction of the state’s lifeline, the Polavaram project, along with the capital Amaravati.

Now, with the NDA government at the center and the coalition government in the state are paying special attention to the development of Amaravati. Funds are also being allocated for the construction of Amaravati in the central budget. Domestic and foreign companies are also showing interest in investing in the state.

On the other hand, CM Chandrababu Naidu and his cabinet colleagues are present at the World Economic Forum’s summit in  Davos persuading investors to set up industries in the state. On the other hand, no industries have been set up in the state in the last five years. Even the existing industry, Amara Raja, has moved to a neighboring state.

Similarly, Lulu Company also did not express its willingness to invest in the state during the previous government. But after the coalition government led by Chandrababu Naidu came to power, the company responded positively to invest in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Vijayawada. At such a time, with the allocation of HUDCO funds for the construction of the capital, the residents of the area are confident that the area is developing more rapidly.
