Home Minister Anita Vangalapudi said that a case of sedition should be filed against former Chief Minister and YCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. She was furious over YCP leaders’ comments that the alliance government was responsible for the floods in Vijayawada.

She lamented that Jagan came out twice throwing mud at the government. If the Prakasam barrage was completely surrounded by flood, she alleged thatJagan and YCP leaders tried to disturb and destroy it too.

She recalled that the irrigation officials themselves said that the boats were left behind to create havoc in AP. Anitha expressed concern that if the Prakasam barrage collided with the pillars and there was an accident, several thousand people would lose their lives. She questioned how the boats in Royapuram got there.

Moreover, she wondered why no one complained that the boats were missing till today?  She alleged that YCP leaders Nandigama Suresh and Thalasila Raghuram had committed this conspiracy with the boats belonging to their followers. She said that this is an example of Jaganmohan Reddy who has a criminal mind and does not think for the people.

She deplored that it is cruel to see the people in trouble at a time of crisis. Even though people confined 11 seats to YCP in the previous general election, Jagan was severely criticized for not getting his mind yet.

Meanwhile, Minister Nara Lokesh in a X post alleged that there was a conspiracy to demolish the Prakasam barrage as per the plan so that lakhs of people would become water graves. While in power, he recalled that Jagan was accused of causing the Annamayya dam to overflow for his sand mafia, killing 50 people and defacing 5 villages.

According to this plan, he said that  Prakasam barrage was rammed and demolished with iron boats, Vijayawada along with tens of Lankan villages were defaced and millions of people were buried in water.
