Strongly condemning former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s tirade against Chandrababu Naidu’s government alleging it failed in flood-relief operations, Home Minister Anitha expressed anger that he is spreading poison with PayTm batch.
She asserted that the entire government machinery is staying in Vijayawada and monitoring relief operations round the clock. She ridiculed that the YCP chief, who did not even give Pulihora packets to the flood victims at his own expense, sat in Bangalore and talked about Pulihora. She recalled that the opposition was unable to spend at least 20 minutes with flood affected victims during his recent visit.
The Home Minister said that there are many suspicions about boats hitting the Prakasam Barrage and made it clear a thorough investigation is being conducted to expose the real culprits.
Responding to Tollywood heroine and BJP activist Madhavi Latha’s strong objection over the need of paying chalanas towards mike permission for Ganesh Mandapams, Anitha said that this money collection was brought by Jagan’s regime. She said that as soon as the matter came to the Chief Minister’s notice, he was ordered not to collect even a rupee.
In a strongly worded video, Madhavi Latha said Ganesha devotees are ready to pay money to the AP government if they stand with begging bowls at Ganesh Mandapams, instead of collecting chalanas. She dares the government asking can they collect such fees from Muslims and Christians? She deplored why only Hindus became vulnerable?
With regard to flood-relief activities, the Home Minister said that chlorination activities are also being carried out by 42 drones. For the past nine days, many parts of the city of Vijayawada have been caught in an impasse, but the government and the ministers claimed that they stopped sleeping and stood by the people.
She said that mud has been removed from more than 27,000 houses in the flood-affected areas and chlorination has been carried out along with food supply by drones. She said that water is still stored in some places in Vijayawada, tiffin’s, fresh water and milk packets have been supplied in the morning. She said that 170 water tanks are providing fresh water through hundreds of trips daily.
