The AP High Court has issued notices to former CID chief Sanjay and former AAG Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy in a PIL filed by United Forum for United Campaign President Satyanarayana against holding a media conference on the Skill Development case, while it was under investigation.

In his petition he alleged both of them misused public money by holding a media conference. Taking cognizance of the petition, the High Court issued notices to both of them, who are the defendants in their personal capacity, along with the Chief Secretary of the Government, the Secretary of the Law Department and the Chief Secretary of the Home Department.

The High Court also directed the government to file a counter with full details on this matter. The next hearing was adjourned to September 9. Both of them were known for their proximity with the former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and stooped to any level to show their devotion to the YCP regime. Earlier their holding of press conferences like politicians received widespread criticism.

Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy even gave interviews to news and YouTube channels making severe accusations against Chandrababu Naidu, degrading legal values and respect for the courts. Even before the court confirmed Chandrababu’s role in the alleged scam, he used to spread unfounded accusations against him.

Sanjay is only the supervising officer in the Skill cae, but not the investigating officer. Legal experts and senior officials felt that while the investigation is in the preliminary stage,  it is against the rules for the police to reveal the details of the case before filing the chargesheet.

While saying that the CID did not have the evidence and confining itself to the investigation of the case, there were criticisms that how can they confirm a particular person had done something wrong.
