The YSRCP member of parliament, Raghu Ramakrishna Raju has approached the High Court citing the financial irregularities that happened in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
The petitioner has brought to the notice of the High Court that several financial irregularities have happened in the welfare schemes implemented by the state and seeks a CBI inquiry regarding this. Condemning the allegations made by the petitioner, AG Sriram who is representing Jagan Sarkar has claimed that the petitioner Raghu Ramakrishna Raju has a personal motive behind this rather than the concern of the public. He tried to express to the court the malafide intentions behind the petitioner to which the petitioner’s advocate hit back stating that the case was of public interest and he also brought to the notice of the court that the government had deliberately destroyed some records after the petition was filed.
After hearing from both sides, the High Court has served notices to 41 respondents, including Chief Minister Y S Jagan, ministers, and officials. The HC has adjourned the case to a further date.
