While the Congress party celebrates victory rallies marking its one-year governance milestone, opposition parties BRS and BJP are releasing charge sheets to highlight the government’s failures. In a recent development, Harish Rao, a former BRS minister, released a charge sheet targeting Revanth Reddy’s one-year administration, offering sharp criticism against the government’s policies and performance.
Harish Rao described Revanth’s governance as a “dark period” for farmers’ welfare and a significant setback for agriculture. He accused Revanth Reddy of failing to deliver on his promise of loan waivers despite assuring that his first signature would be on such a document upon assuming power. Harish Rao further criticized Revanth, stating, “If someone can deceive four crore people by placing faith in gods they saw, would deceiving three crore deities be a matter of great concern?”
Harish Rao demanded accountability regarding agricultural growth during BRS governance, stating, “During the 10 years of BRS leadership, the production of paddy in the state became a known truth. In 2014-15, 6.8 million tons of rice were harvested, while in 2023-24, this figure increased to 16.8 million metric tons. The cultivation area expanded from 13.1 million acres in 2014-15 to 22.2 million acres by 2023-24. Revanth Reddy must clarify who made all of this possible.”
Mocking Revanth’s presence at international forums like Davos, Harish Rao ridiculed his inability to make a meaningful impact and questioned the purpose of the language he used.
Addressing employment generation issues, Harish Rao demanded Revanth Reddy hand over the 500 acres he owns in Kalvakurthi, as claimed by KTR, stating that if Revanth truly prioritized job creation, such an action would demonstrate his sincerity.
Harish Rao also accused Revanth of political opportunism, alleging a flip-flop stance on issues such as support for Laggacherla farmers and a sudden shift to promoting industrial corridors.
