Andhra Pradesh political climate is heating up as the Chandrababu Naidu government is cracking down more strongly against people accused of targeting opposition leaders under the previous YSRCP regime. With the arrest of Posani Krishna Murali, there is rampant speculation about who will be the next in line. In a new development, Gudivada police have sent crucial notices to main aides of former minister Kodali Nani.
Two cases had previously been filed against Kodali Nani’s close aides in Gudivada, involving serious allegations. The charges include coercing government volunteers into resigning and making threats in connection to a liquor godown controversy. Based on directives from the High Court, the police have now served 41A notices to notable individuals, including Dukkipati Shashibhushan, Paladugu Ramprasad, and Gudivada YSRCP president Gorla Srinu.
Apart from his associates, legal troubles also extend to Kodali Nani himself. Cases have been registered against him, former AP Beverages Corporation MD Vasudeva Reddy, and JC Madhavilatha under multiple sections of law. Since they had sought legal recourse from the High Court, the judiciary had instructed the police to proceed with issuing 41A notices as part of the investigation. Acting upon these orders, the Gudivada One-Town Police Station has now issued the required notices.
With the investigation gaining momentum, all eyes are now on Kodali Nani. After questioning his associates, legal experts believe the former minister himself could soon receive a notice. As the crackdown continues, this move is expected to have major political implications in Andhra Pradesh.
