Hyderabad: Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Monday confirmed that Governor has granted permission to question BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) in connection with the alleged irregularities in the E-Car Racing case. However, the minister refrained from commenting on the possibility of KTR’s arrest, stating that the law would take its own course.
Following a marathon cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy informed the media that the Chief Secretary (CS) would formally communicate the Governor’s approval to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). He assured that the investigation into the Formula E race would be conducted in accordance with legal protocols.
The minister disclosed that the cabinet held extensive discussions on alleged financial misappropriations linked to the race. He further noted that permission had been granted to file a case against IAS officer Arvind Kumar in relation to the issue. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to transparency, he clarified that the administration does not engage in political vendettas but is determined to expose corruption.

Notices are also likely to be issued to the E-Racing agency and event organizers. The cabinet meeting, which lasted over five hours, reviewed the matter in detail before taking these decisions.
