Stating that the state has reached the brink of economic collapse under the YSRCP regime, Governor Abdul Nazeer said that the state is being put into the right track after the coalition government comes to power. Addressing both houses of the Assembly on the first day of the AP Assembly budget session on Monday, the Governor made it clear that the dream of Swarnandhra will be realized by 2047. He revealed that special attention has been paid to improve infrastructure and basic amenities.
The Governor said that the government is doing good to the people through Super Six schemes and repealed the Land Titling Act as soon as he came to power. He said that efforts are being made to keep people away from hunger by bringing Anna Canteens. He informed the assembly that the Polavaram project will be completed by 2027.
He said that if Polavaram- Banakacharla is completed, there will be no drought in Rayalaseema. He said that solar panels have been installed in the state under the Surya Ghar Yojana and that investments in tourism have increased with the actions of his government.
He said that the government is supporting MSMEs and encouraging them in every way. He said that the government is taking many steps towards providing employment to the youth. Governor Abdul revealed in the House that there was diversion of resources and massive exploitation of natural resources during the YSRCP regime.
He deplored that the state has suffered a lot under the YSRCP government and that the state has faced many difficulties in the last five years. The Governor said that the per capita income has increased under the coalition government. He assured that they believe that everyone will provide better services if given opportunities.
He recalled that the staff is going to the homes of the beneficiaries on the 1st of every month and providing pensions. Moreover, he said that pensions have been increased to Rs. 4,000. The Governor said that special programs have been taken up for the upliftment of the BC community and 34 percent reservation has been provided for BCs in local bodies and nominated posts. He also said that 2 gas cylinders are being given free of cost per year.
The Government said that his government was able to prevent privatization of the Visakha steel plant. Stating that their aspiration is that all the eligible poor should have their own houses, he said that they are also providing safe drinking water and electricity to every family. He said that the government is taking steps towards the AI revolution from IT. Immediately after the Governor’s address, the Speaker adjourned the House till tomorrow.
