More than a month after his resignation from the party, the three-time Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh, who had been making claims that he would never join the BJP again until yesterday, has now sent clear signals to the party leadership that he is ready to return to the saffron fold. He said that he will join the party again if the BJP leaders call him. Moreover, he made it clear that except BJP, he will not join any other party.
He said that other parties will not be set for him. Speaking in a media interview, Raja Singh said that he has not received an invitation from any other party. Moreover, he recalled that no one has thrown him out of the party and he left on his own only. He asserted that the BJP is his home and that he will always be committed to that party.
Raja Singh admitted that the party has suffered losses due to some of his mistakes and also of some other leaders. He said that he resigned only to inform the Delhi leaders about these matters. It may be recalled that even after a fortnight of the party president JP Nadda accepting his resignation from the party, so far the party did not approach the Assembly Speaker seeking disqualification of his MLA position.
As a result, he is confident that there will be no by-election for the Goshamahal constituency. He clarified that he resigned only from the party, but not for the MLA post. He wish to continue as an MLA for the next three years. He recalled that though several BRS MLA joined the Congress, nowhere by-polls are required.
He denied the news that Harish Rao had invited him to join BRS. He said that no one from BRS or Congress had contacted him. He said that he believes in Hindutva, which is why BRS or Congress do not need him. He criticized that what they need is politics that collude with the Majlis. He rejected the propaganda that he is taking charge of Shiv Sena in Telangana.
He reminded that Shiv Sena, Jana Sena and TDP are all with BJP. Therefore, he said that the campaign that he would join those parties is baseless. “I said that on the day I resigned. Whether I am in the BJP or not, I will be a soldier for Prime Minister Modi,” Raja Singh said. He said that he would be at the forefront of promoting the good works being done by Yogi Adityanath, Amit Shah and JP Nadda.
