Former minister and district YSR Congress Party president Perni Venkatramaiah (Nani) has reacted strongly to the arrest campaign against him and made it clear that he is not afraid of arrest. Referring to speculations about his arrest, he wondered how will be arrested as so far no FIR is booked against him.
He clearly stated that he would not run away anywhere and would always be among the people. “For the past month, some media houses have been spreading the news that I will be arrested. They are creating such news with the intention of me running away. But I will not go anywhere, I will stay here,” he asserted.
He alleged that this is just a malicious campaign by the yellow media and that such writings are being written for their own pleasure. He expressed confidence that even if the government files false cases and registers an FIR, he is ready to face it legally. He made it clear that he will fight in the courts, come out on bail and again carry the YS Jagan flag.
Perni Nani clarified that there is no truth in the allegations against him in the fake house rails case and that the records of every house title granted in Bandar are available on the government web portal and in all relevant offices. He alleged that the issue of his arrest was brought to the fore in order as part of diversion politics after the coalition government came to power for a year.
Severely criticizing the local minister Kollu Ravindra, he asked “If I am arrested, the joy that does not come when the Bandar port and fishing harbor work is going on will be visible in the eyes of Minister Kollu Ravindra. Can there be more sadism than this?” He alleged that the current coalition government is targeting him and bringing arrest stories to the fore in order to divert public attention, while its failures are being revealed to the public on the occasion of the completion of a year in power.
