Former YSRCP minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy has flayed the coalition government for its anti-farmer policies and went hammer and tongs on the unfolding events of drama about parole, followed by the circulation of attempt to murder videos, and he sought a CBI probe.
He deplored that never before has Nellore district witnessed such events with the coalition government giving parole and its members’ involvement being exposed and as a diversion tactic, a video of some anti-social elements talking about the murder of a ruling party MLA surfacing, which is a clear act of diversionary politics.
He warned TDP MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy to guard his speech as he has no stature to talk about YSRCP leadership, and if he has any sincerity should petition for a CBI probe into the issue. He accused that the video in which some anti-social elements were seen, all are the followers of Sridhar Reddy, and he lamented that blaming YSRCP seems ridiculous.
He alleged that this clearly shows that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has lost control over his MLAs, as in the past, YS Jaganmohan Reddy Mohan Reddy has taken action against the same MLA for his indiscipline. He asserted that the parole was given by the coalition government, and the persons threatening to murder the MLA were all his close associates, but he wondered that they are now slinging mud on YSRCP.
Kakani said that only a probe by a central agency can rip open the facts. He said that the video leak is only a drama to divert the attention of people after the coalition leaders were exposed for being involved in the parole given to the anti-social element. He lamented that Agriculture has never been a priority for Chandrababu and it is reflected whenever he is in office.
The former Agriculture Minister deplored that there is no MSP, there is a shortage of urea and other inputs, and farmers are a troubled lot as they are not getting any kind of help from the government. He said that Chandrababu’s only concern is about starting new projects, providing mobilisation advance for kickbacks, and later forgetting them like the election promises.
On the otherhand, he recalled that YS Jaganmohan Reddy during his term has seen to it that all benefits reach farmers on time, and RBKs served as a one-stop solution to the farmers.
