Former Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who was a strongman during the YSRCP rule, is presently embroiled in a storm of court cases due to the formation of the new coalition government in Andhra Pradesh.
Vamsi was originally named Accused No. 71 (A71) in the case of the attack on the Gannavaram TDP office. He was subsequently arrested on charges of intimidating complainant Satyavardhan and threatening to withdraw his complaint. After being arrested, Vamsi was remanded into Vijayawada sub-jail for two weeks, but his legal issues have only compounded since then.
With the High Court rejecting his bail plea, authorities are now preparing to extend his remand. In a fresh setback, the CID has filed a Prisoner Transit (PT) warrant in a local court, seeking permission to interrogate him further regarding the TDP office attack case. The court has granted approval, paving the way for CID officials to present him before the court once his current remand period concludes.
As Vamsi battles legal proceedings in multiple cases, uncertainty looms over his future. Meanwhile, his petition requesting better facilities in jail is still pending. With multiple investigations unfolding, political circles are abuzz with speculation about his next move.
