Monday, January 13, 2025

Former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has issued a stern warning to a senior police official, emphasizing that violations of protocol to appease political powers will not be tolerated. During his visit to Pulivendula, Jagan addressed concerns raised by YSRCP leaders about alleged harassment by the local DSP, Muralinaik. Before leaving for Bengaluru, Jagan confronted the officer, cautioning against the assumption that the current government would remain in power indefinitely. He warned that any unjust actions against YSRCP members would be dealt with when his party returns to governance. In response, the DSP reportedly stated that all cases were being handled within the bounds of the law.

Jagan Criticizes Negligence in Tirupati Stampede Incident
Jagan did not hold back in criticizing the handling of the tragic Tirupati stampede, which left devotees and their families in shock. He accused the TTD Board Chairman, Executive Officer (EO), Additional EO, district Collector, and local SPs of gross negligence. According to Jagan, their failure to fulfill their responsibilities directly contributed to the incident.

The former CM questioned why no stringent actions were taken against those responsible. He alleged that instead of ensuring accountability, the government had shielded those at fault. Jagan highlighted how unrelated individuals were suspended while those truly responsible faced only minor consequences, such as transfers.

Mockery of Justice and Political Theatrics
Jagan also took aim at the Deputy Chief Minister, who had demanded a mere apology as a resolution for the incident. He called this approach inadequate and labeled it a political drama. Mocking such demands as laughable, Jagan accused both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of prioritizing political strategies over delivering justice and accountability.

Call for Responsible Governance
In his concluding remarks, Jagan urged the government to focus on genuine governance and refrain from playing political games. He stressed that the people deserved better accountability and leadership in the wake of such tragedies, calling for fair and transparent actions against those responsible for the Tirupati incident.

This development highlights Jagan’s firm stance against corruption, mismanagement, and political theatrics, signaling his commitment to justice and governance as his party prepares for a political comeback.
