Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on Monday.
According to the sources, the 63-year-old was admitted with a stomach infection and is stable now. The hospital provided the best care for the senior BJP leader who will be discharged soon.
Adding on, Sitharaman attended the 35th annual convocation of The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University in Chennai on Saturday. According to MDTV, speaking about the COVID-19 Vaccination program taken by India at the event, Sitharaman said- ‘The center along with the state governments executed vaccination at a rapid pace that by the time omicron variant of Covid attacked us, we were prepared to face it, India could stand up to face the challenges because of the preparedness of a democratically elected government.’
Later, Nirmala Sitharaman participated in and paid floral tributes to the former prime minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on his birth anniversary at ‘Sadaiv Atal’ in New Delhi.
