The tiff between the Telangana Government ruled by KCR and Governor Tamilasai had impacted the upcoming budget sessions. With the help of the High Court, Tamilasai finally gave her consent to the budget sessions of the Assembly.
The other day the cold war between KCR’s government and Tamilasai reached another level as the latter failed to clear the budget file of 2023-24 to introduce it in the upcoming Assembly sessions to be held in February. As there was no response from the Raj Bhavan, the Telangana government approached the High Court of Telangana and hired the Supreme Court lawyer Dushyath Dave to represent the case. The advocate however explained that it was not his intention to file a case against the Governor but explained her intervention in the state’s affairs.
The High Court bench of Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice N Tukaramji took up the case as a lunch motion and asked T-Govt not to drag the Justice system between the State and Governor. However, after the hearings, it was learned that the Bench has advised the Governor to indeed help the state government rather than providing obstacles. Immediately Tamilsai cleared the file and will be addressing both houses today. As there should be a gap of one week, it is anticipated that the Budget sessions of Telangana shall commence on the 6th of February.
