Film actor and writer Posani Krishna Murali was arrested by the Annamayya district police in Hyderabad. He was taken into custody in a case registered at the Obulavaripalli police station in Annamayya district. On Wednesday night, they went to Posani Krishna Murali’s residence in Myhome Bhuja Apartment in Hyderabad and served notices and arrested him.
Several cases have already been registered against Posani in Andhra Pradesh for making inappropriate comments against CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Posani, who gained a good reputation as a film actor and writer, got embroiled in many controversies after entering politics.
Initially, he was a sympathizer of the TDP. Later, he joined the Praja Rajyam founded by Chiranjeevi. After the party merged with the Congress, he was silent for some time and later joined the YSRCP. After Jagan came to power, Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu were targeted and criticized. Due to this, he got involved in many cases.
He used to target them personally and also use vulgar language. The police revealed that Posani Krishna Murali was arrested at 8.45 pm on Wednesday. He was arrested for creating communal differences among the people by insulting them in the name of caste. Cases were registered against him under sections 196, 353(2), 111 Redwith 3(5).
Dramatic developments took place during Posani’s arrest. Posani got into an argument with the police and asked how would anyone believe him if they came at night and said they were the police? He questioned how they came to his house without permission? During the arrest, Posani did not cooperate with the police and started an argument.
‘I will not take notice. Arrest me. Do you commit rowdyism against women?’ he said. ‘Who are you? How did you come to my house?’ SI Bhaktavatsalam seeks his cooperation to arrest. He became angry, ‘First give me notice. I will go to the hospital and get treated… and then come to you,’ he told the police.
The police made it clear that this was not possible and that if they did not cooperate with the arrest, they would have to do their duty. ‘Why do you want me to come into my house and cooperate?’ Posani protested. The officer made it clear that if a case is registered, they will have the authority even to go to Kashmir and arrest him.
‘My health is not good… I have undergone an operation. Don’t even take care of the patient,’ Posani got angry again. The police tried to give a notice to Posani’s wife. When they asked her, ‘We are arresting you, take notice, madam’… Posani ordered her, ‘Don’t take it… don’t take it.’ Even though the police officer repeatedly asked her, ‘Take notice, madam’… she replied curtly, ‘There is no need to take notice. Arrest him.’ She warned the police, ‘Don’t commit rowdyism on women.’
