The Jubilee Hills by-elections have set the Congress party on fire. Leaders who were denied party seats are expressing extreme dissatisfaction. Particularly, former MP and Pradesh Congress working president Anjan Kumar Yadav, who was disappointed with the ticket, is threatening to contest as a rebel.
Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Vivek Venkata Swamy and party state affairs in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan have stepped in to appease him. As part of this, they met Anjan Kumar at his residence. On this occasion,he expressed dissatisfaction over how the candidate could be announced without consulting him. Even though the candidate has already been finalized, Anjan is not giving up his grip.
His supporters are pressuring Anjan to contest as a rebel candidate. With this, the excitement is increasing over Anjan’s decision. He said that he will announce his future course of action after meeting his supporters. Minister Vivek, who is overseeing Jubilee Hills, went directly to Anjan’s residence. Whenhe tried to cover him with a shawl, Anjan initially refused. After that, discussions took place between the two.
The minister asked him to make Naveen Yadav win as per the party’s decision. Anjan expressed his impatience that he had been in the Congress for 40 years and that he had served as an MP twice and was not even considered. It is reported that he was questioned whether he was worth anything? With this, Vivek asked him to abide by the party’s decision since the seat was finalized.
“I have been in difficult times. Will you leave me aside now? If you gave me a ticket, I would have won. I was treated on a ventilator for Covid. I worked for the party during difficult times. I have been in the Congress party since nursery. I have held many positions in the Congress party. I have served as the Hyderabad president twice,” he recalled.
Now, what decision will Anjan announce? What CM Revanth is going to do is becoming crucial. He wondered why the local and non-local issue arose only in the Jubilee Hills by-election? He asked CM Revanth Reddy about not remembering this when he contested in Kamareddy and Malkajgiri in the past? He said that he was in the Congress even during difficult times and worked for the party.
He said that he would soon expose who prevented him from getting a ticket. He complained that he was not even included in the Jubilee Hills committee. He made it clear that if they kept trampling on him, they would climb up. He said that he was the working president of the Congress party and could contest anywhere.
