Former Minister and Nagari Ex-MLA RK Roja, a prominent figure in YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), is facing serious corruption allegations. Andhra Pradesh Sports Authority (SAAP) Chairman Ravi Naidu has made explosive claims, stating that her arrest is inevitable and could happen at any moment.
Naidu accused Roja of large-scale corruption in the Aadudam Andhra sports initiative, alleging that she mismanaged ₹119 crore in funds. He emphasized that no political backing could protect her from legal action, igniting intense debates in political circles.
To this end, Roja encountered YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the party office in Tadepalli on Wednesday. Speaking to the media afterwards, she refuted the charges, claiming the Aadudam Andhra event was conducted transparently.
She condemned the TDP government, terming the charges a politically motivated attack seeking to sully her reputation. Roja dared the opposition, saying, “If there’s proof of corruption, let them present it.”. Arrests don’t happen without evidence.”
She also defended former SAAP Chairman Baireddy Siddharth Reddy, arguing that he had no involvement in the alleged financial irregularities, yet the coalition government was unjustly targeting him.
Reacting to Roja’s defense, Ravi Naidu alleged that she had been in hiding for over a month, fearing the government’s probe. He further claimed that she only reappeared after receiving instructions from Jagan and Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.
Naidu added that apart from the Aadudam Andhra scam, Roja is under investigation for misusing Tirumala temple funds and financial irregularities in Nagari constituency. He concluded by stating that her arrest is inevitable, further intensifying the political storm in Andhra Pradesh.
