YSR Congress party MLC and Tekkali MLA contestant Duvvada Srinivas, who was entangled in a strange and unpleasant controversy over an extra-marital affair, has faced the axe from the party high command for indiscipline.
Two weeks ago, Duvvada Srinivas’ wife and his two daughters created a ruckus at the house of the alleged lady with whom he is said be co-living since many months. The issue turned out to be a huge headache for the beleaguered YSR Congress party which has already been rocked by several controversies in recent times after losing power in the assembly elections.
From the past few days, there have been rumours that Duvvada Srinivas will resign from the MLC post for his misconduct as party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was serious over the unsavoury issue that raised questions over the party’s moral standards in supporting such leaders.
In what could be a shocker to Duvvada Srinivas, Jagan has reportedly sacked him from the Tekkali constituency incharge duties with immediate effect. Duvvada has been replaced by Srikakulam YSRCP MP contestant Perada Tilak.
This move has come as a big relief for YSRCP supporters who have been putting pressure on the party high command to take disciplinary action against leaders who are tarnishing the image of the party. Whether Jagan will initiate any action against Duvvada needs to be seen in the coming days.
