Dubai: Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and his wife, Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum, welcomed their fourth child, a baby girl, on Saturday. The newborn has been named Hind bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Hamdan shared the news on Instagram, announcing that the name was chosen in honor of his mother, Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum. He also extended prayers for the child’s health and well-being.
The name Hind has Arabic origins, symbolizing wealth, strength, and grandeur. Sheikh Hamdan, the second child of Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikha Hind, holds key positions as the UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence. He married Sheikha Sheikha in 2019.
