Dr Sunitha Flays Even After six years of Her Father Dr Vivekanda’s Murder, The killers Are Roaming Freely

Expressing concern that even after six years after the brutal murder of her father and former minister Dr YS Vivekananda Reddy, her family yet to get justice, his daughter Dr YS Sunitha deplored that those killed are roaming freely. She wondered when they would be punished and how many years the legal battle should be fought.

On the occasion of her father Viveka’s 74th birth anniversary on Friday, her husband Rajasekhara Reddy and family members laid floral wreaths at his tomb in the town and offered special prayers. Later, they garlanded the statue at Viveka Park.

Speaking to the media on this occasion, she said they had treated Kadapa MP Dr YS Avinash Reddy as a child. But, she wondered that they had never thought he would be a reason for the killing of her father. She asserted that wrongdoers should be punished and alleged that they were trying to eliminate witnesses and the police were being manipulated in their favor.

She said that YS Avinash had asked her to sign a letter saying that Adinarayana Reddy, Satish Reddy and B.Tech Ravi were the reason for Viveka’s murder. Wasn’t it you who wiped away the blood pools and bandaged the wounds in the presence of the police?, Dr. Sunitha asked.

She recalled that the SIT officers were changed after the YSRCP government came to power, but the case was handed over to the CBI on the initiative of the court. She expressed her anger by saying that the CBI officers were prevented from investigating and cases were also filed against them.

“The trial of Viveka’s murder case in the court is getting postponed. I am also attending the hearing along with the accused. How many more years should we fight for justice? I do not understand whether the punishment is for the accused or for me? I have filed a petition in the Supreme Court that the CBI investigation is incomplete. I hope justice will be done”, she said.

“Then they threatened the police and destroyed all the evidence. Now they are trying to threaten them again during the ZPTC elections. People want to see a new Pulivendula without violence. That is why I am fighting,” added Dr. Sunitha.

She said that the way the police acted when the CBI arrested Avinash in Kurnool was very painful. She said that it was ironic to say that all this was done during  the previous government, but now alleging that the police are acting as pawns of the ruling party.
