Krish Jagarlamudi is one of the most prolific directors in Tollywood. He hogged the limelight after delivering critically acclaimed films like Gamyam, Vedam, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum and Kanche. He has a natural bent for juxtaposing social issues with commercial values in his stories. He delivered big hits with Gabbar is Back and Gautamiputra Satakarni and announced himself on the big stage.
Unfortunately, Krish failed to capitalize on his initial success and bad time started to follow him like a shadow. The embarrassing debacles of NTR’s biopic and controversies following his rift with Kangana Ranaut during ‘Manikarnika’ impacted his career very badly. He later directed a rural drama Konda Polam and it didn’t meet the expectations. Even his personal life went through a tough phase as he got divorced from his wife after two years of marriage.
In the meantime, Krish bagged a golden opportunity to direct Pawan Kalyan’s period drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu. But, the film went through numerous production challenges. Even after 3 years, there is no clarity on when the film releases. Meanwhile, Krish moved on to Anushka Shetty’s female-centric film.
When everything seemed to be changing for the good sake of Krish, the recent drug case in which he was named as one of the accused has further damaged his reputation. He is currently going through a tough phase on both professional and personal counts.
His test samples reported negative for any drug usage and this news came as a big relief for him. He will soon report back to his work.
