Shirish, one of the important in Sri Venkateswara Creations recently gave an interview that has unintentionally started a fire with Mega fans. His statements about Ram Charan’s movie Game Changer has invoked very strong reactions on social media, as several fans have reacted upset with tone and timing of his comments.
During the interview, Shirish mentioned that after the disappointing performance of Game Changer, neither the film’s hero nor the director didn’t reached out to the production house. He further added that they wrapped their chapter on the said project and that the crew had moved on to their next film, Sankranthiki Vastunnam.
The remarks did not go down well with Mega fans, who took the comments as dismissive. Some fans went onto social media, expressing their discontent and even threatening to boycott future projects of Dil Raju’s production company.
Amidst the mounting backlash, veteran producer Dil Raju intervened to set things straight. In a subsequent interview, he clarified the controversy, saying that Game Changer was made under his guidance, while Sankranthiki Vastunnam is being taken care of by Shirish, who is also heavily involved in distribution. Dil Raju clarified that Shirish made the comments from a business and distribution standpoint and reiterated that it was Shirish’s maiden ever media interview, which possibly resulted in some unintended impressions.
Dil Raju was quick to reiterate the strong and respectful relationship the production house has had with both Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, valuing the bond with the Mega family and establishing that he looks to collaborate again in the future.
With the above statement, Dil Raju is looking to put to rest the issue and make fans aware that their banner is not facing any strain with the Mega camp.
