Did Congress Leaders sold TGPSC Group I posts?, JAC Demand CB CID probe

Monday, April 28, 2025

Did Congress leaders sell TGPSC Group 1 posts? Did they bargain at the rate of the post? The leaders of the Unemployed JAC are expressing doubts and demanding CB CID probe. They are showing various evidence that many of the toppers are family members of Congress leaders. They allege that in Group-1 GRL, the majority of the toppers in the list are new applicants in 2024.

The leaders of the Unemployed JAC, Janardhan, Motilal Nayak and others are alleging that there is a huge conspiracy behind the fact that there are 74 toppers from two examination centers, those who wrote in the same room, those on adjacent benches, and those on the back benches getting the highest marks. They want a judicial commission to be set up and an investigation to be conducted.

They questioned what was the reason behind the evaluation being conducted in 75 days, 68 people with consecutive hall ticket numbers getting the same marks, and seven out of 9 people who wrote the exam in Urdu getting the highest marks. Stating how reservation will be given to non-local candidates on the basis of caste, they demanded that the government reveal the prelims and mains hall tickets of the selected candidates.

A candidate who came from America and wrote the exams in this way became a topper. He did not take coaching. He did not even practice the test series. But he got 502 marks in Group-1 Mains. He is a close relative of a Congress leader. The daughter-in-law of a former Congress MLC became the topper. The candidate studied for only five hours a day.

The others studied for 16 hours but could not become toppers. Apart from these candidates, the leaders of the Unemployed JAC allege that there are some other family members of Congress leaders. When the Group-1 Prelims exam was conducted for the second time, the candidates went to court on the grounds that the OMR sheets were too many and biometric attendance was not implemented.

The court ruled that the exam should be canceled and re-conducted. TGPSC approached the Supreme Court challenging the verdict. When the government changed, the TGPSC’s stance also changed. The Congress government canceled the High Court exam and re-conducted the prelims exam, but the notification itself was canceled.

It also withdrew the special leave petition filed in the Supreme Court challenging the High Court verdict. The unemployed suspect that there is a big sketch behind this change in TGPSC’s stance. The new notification provided an opportunity to apply again. 80 thousand people applied. Some of them were those who were needed by adults. Such people were made to write the exam at a single center and were declared toppers.
