TDP senior MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar alleged that during the YSRCP regime, about Rs. 5,000 crore were looted from cooperative banks, and Rs. 600 crore rupees were looted from a bank that was supposed to work for farmers in Guntur district alone. He demanded an inquiry by a senior IAS officer at the state level.
Responding to his comments, Minister Atchannaidu admitted in the assembly that it is true that there was massive corruption in DCCB from 2019 to 24. He assured that immediate action would be taken on all the complaints received in the last 9 months. Dhulipala Narendra further said that this is an organized scam from APCAB and DCCBs.
He alleged that bogus loans were taken in the name of farmers. He said that a three-man committee was appointed at the DCCB level and 50 people were hired on contract basis in five years. He said that those related to them had put pressure on some branches by colluding with the revenue officials and colluding with the revenue officials and looting hundreds of crores.
Narendra alleged that the 3-man committee management had put pressure on them in the name of Dwcra groups and transferred them from private banks to central banks. He said that they had consumed Rs. 200 crore in this way and they were paying the money after giving loans of Rs. 2 crore to Dwcra groups and after the government changed, they were paying it back.
He said that they had transferred Rs 2 crores of the money that was under interest waiver in the Ponnur branch and built a house and are now paying it back. He deplored those officials still continuing in the same banks. Moreover, he alleged that they are putting pressure on APCAB and PACS societies in the names of the godowns and are building them in cemeteries.
He further alleged that these godowns are being built on layout sites and tank pits and they took the land from the PACS Society and built the godowns wherever they wanted. He wondered how they would build godowns on land that was not the society’s land.
Narendra recalled that in the past, the High Court had asked them to demolish the secretariats on school sites. He demanded action against the APCOB MDs and DCCB chairman.
