After the Pahalgam terror attack, security forces are on high alert about the sleeper cells of terrorists across the country. It has been suspected for a long time that sleeper cells are operating widely in Hyderabad city as well. Recently, it has been revealed in the Vizianagaram terror case that the terror attacks were planned in Hyderabad itself.
In this context, Telangana DGP Dr. G Jitender said that the sleeper cells in Hyderabad city are being identified. He said that the movements of the suspects are being monitored and counseling will be provided to such people. He said that the investigation into the case of the recently arrested terror conspiracy mastermind Sameer is ongoing.
The DGP explained that an attempt was made to form a group for the terror conspiracy, which was discovered and dismantled. Meanwhile, the DGP revealed that the Operation Kagar being carried out on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border was carried out only by central forces.
He said that 300 Maoists have surrendered across Telangana so far. The DGP suggested that if there are any others, they should all surrender. Meanwhile, he said that SDRF was formed in Mahabubabad and Khammam districts in the past when floods occurred.
He explained that 1000 people have been trained in various departments. He said that SDRF is working in the state at the level of NDRF. The DGP clarified that two SDRF teams have been prepared now and the rest of the personnel are under training. He said that SDRF works to rescue flood victims when floods and disasters occur.
The DGP said that various departments of the SDRF team are trained in five states and are ready to provide services. An awareness demonstration was held in Hussain Sagar waters on the relief measures taken by SDRF during floods.
DGP Dr. Jitender said that the investigation into the Charminar Gulzar House fire is ongoing. He said that the government has appointed a committee and the report of the committee will be submitted to the government as soon as it comes. He said that the government will take further action based on the report.
