YCP leader Devineni Avinash, who was accused in the TDP office case, was stopped by the police at the Shamshabad airport on Thursday night, when he was trying to go to Dubai. As there were lookout notices on Avinash, during immigration allerted police stopped Avinash from traveling abroad.
The RGI Airport Police confirmed that the police stopped him as he tried to go to Dubai. The lookout notices were issued by Mangalagiri Rural Police. As soon as he entered the airport, the immigration authorities informed Mangalagiri Rural police about his plan to go abroad.
Immediately, the Mangalagiri Rural police informed them that an FIR was registered against him and suggested not to allow him to travel. Soon after he was detained from catching the flight, Avinash said to be returned from the airport.
Cases have been registered against Devineni Avinash in the attack on the TDP headquarters and the attack on the house of TDP leader Pattabhi. Avinash is an accused in a case registered at Mangalagiri Rural Police Station.
There are allegations that Avinash led the vandalism of the TDP headquarters in Mangalagiri three years ago. In this context, cases have been registered against him. Recently he tried to go to Dubai and was stopped by the police.
The TDP leaders are accusing him of trying to run away from the country to escape possible arrest. In the last election, Devineni Avinash contested from Vijayawada East constituency and lost. In the 2019 elections, Avinash contested on behalf of TDP in the Gudivada constituency and was defeated.
After that he joined YCP. During the YCP regime, he acted aggressively against the TDP leaders. There are suspicions that Devineni Avinash played a major role in the attack on the TDP office.
On the other hand, several leaders have already approached the High Court for anticipatory bail in the attack on the TDP headquarters.
