Death Threat To Rajashan CM Bhajanlal Sharma From A prison!

A prisoner from Dausa jail allegedly made a call to the police control room and threatened to kill Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. Inspector General of Police (Jaipur Range) Anil Tank said the call was made by a prisoner jailed in a rape case had called Jaipur Police Control Room late Saturday night.

He said police traced the location of the phone number to Dausa Jail and took the inmate into custody for questioning. He said they are investigating how the prisoner got access to mobile phone. After this, many officers of the district including Additional Superintendent of Police Lokesh Sonwal reached Shyalwas Central Jail, where 10 mobile phones were seized during the search operation.

Lokesh Sonwal said, “Today morning at 7.30 a.m. Dausa SP Ranjita Sharma received a phone call from higher officials in Jaipur that a person had issued a threat to a control room from the location of Central Jail Shyalawas. She gave directions to verify the threat. The local CEO and SHO went to the spot. A search was conducted at the spot along with jail authorities.”

He further said that the mobile and the SIM were seized, from which the threat was given.He further revealed that the accused is serving a sentence under 376 and that he is from Darjeeling. However, he said that due to security reasons, the name of the person and other details cannot be revealed.

It is understood that the Rajasthan Police will now also investigate the role of the jail employees. Several most wanted criminals, including shooter Nitin Fauji, of Rajasthan are lodged in Shyalavas Jail.Earlier in January this year also, Sharma received a death threat which was also made from the jail. Police, after the investigation, found that the call was made from Jaipur Central Jail. The caller was an inmate serving a sentence under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
