Khayratabad MLA Danam Nagender has reiterated his belief that the Formula E car race has enhanced Hyderabad’s image, while also clarifying his previous statements regarding corruption. He emphasized that he never said that no corruption took place in Formula E Race and did not give a clean chit to KTR, urging the public to remember this clarification.
Nagender stated that any comments he makes often turn into sensational news. He also mentioned that the Congress government in Hyderabad has experienced damage, which he considers a reality. He called on the government to reconsider its approach to Hydra issues, asserting that his opinion on the matter remains unchanged.
Addressing the upcoming by-elections, Nagender declared himself as a fighter and expressed no fear of the elections. He criticized BJP leaders for their actions during the Musi incident, alleging that they only “slept for a day” and had air conditioners installed before their visit. He further accused BJP leader Kishan Reddy of bringing in idlis from outside, instead of consuming locally-made jowar rotis.
Nagender also refuted media claims that misrepresented his remarks on Hydra, claiming that certain outlets distorted his statements. He revealed that when KTR was a minister, he consulted him about the Formula E race and suggested that the event would positively impact the city’s image. However, due to ongoing legal proceedings, Nagender refrained from making further comments on the issue.
Despite the state’s budget deficit, Nagender commended the government for fulfilling election promises and suggested that celebrations should take place on the day the farmer loan waiver initiative is implemented.
