BJP’s three-time MLA T Raja Singh in Hyderabad city has been receiving threatening calls since the last few years and he has been complaining to the senior police officials and also the Union Home Ministry. Though he identified that he is getting calls from some Pakistani numbers, police till now failed to find out a clue.
Finally, the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police arrested an accused Mohammed Wasim (40), resident of Phool Bagh, Chandrayangutta, Hyderabad and found he had been making threatening calls to Raja Singh continuously.
According to the police, he has been making random numbers by using VOIP calling applications, and abusing him in filthy language and threatening him.
Raja Singh in his complaint, mentioned last year that he has recently received a threatening call from the number +619664800063233 threatening him to kill him and his family members before the upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana. They even threatened that before counting day they would kill him and his family.
Further he stated that the caller had threatened that he even had plan to kill Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, during his election campaign in his Goshamahal Constituency
In this regard the Cyber Crime Police, Hyderabad registered a and investigated into it. During the investigation call data analysis and verifying other particulars it was found that the accused was staying in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). Look out circular (LOC) was issued against him and efforts were made to bring him to India.
Finally, he was apprehended on Tuesday, when he arrived in India at RGI Airport, Hyderabad and produced in the court. The police seized one VIVO mobile with IMEI Number IMEI number 869329059101611, IMEI2 869329059101603 along with the SIM card with mobile numbers 966546836395
The team headed by Inspector of Police K Saidulu, under the direct supervision of Chand Basha, ACP Social Media Unit, and R.G Siva Maruthi, ACP, Cyber Crime PS, Hyderabad, investigated the case.
