Anantapur: Vijayawada Cyber Crime Police have issued a notice to former MP and YSRCP leader Gorantla Madhav, directing him to appear for questioning over alleged objectionable remarks on social media. The notice was served under Section 35(3), requiring him to appear before the Cyber Crime Police in Vijayawada on March 5.
The case stems from a complaint filed by Vasireddy Padma on November 2 last year, alleging that Madhav made inappropriate comments on social media and disclosed the identity of a rape survivor during a press conference. Based on the complaint, police registered a case under multiple sections. On Thursday evening, officials visited Madhav’s residence in Anantapur to serve the notice.
