The power politics between two TDP MPS in the Andhra Cricket Association, which looks after cricket affairs on behalf of the BCCI in AP, turns to be a headache to minister and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh.
While Vijayawada MP Kesineni Chinni is President of the Association, TDP Rajya Sabha member Sana Satish Babu is the Secretary. As both are his close associates and with his blessings only they became MPs, now it became a problem to Lokesh to pacify them from `power struggle’.
After the coalition government came to power, the old executive committee of the Andhra Cricket Association resigned. With this, the new committee was formed with two TDP MPs taking lead positions in it. But in the absence of harmony between the two MPs and fighting each other seeking dominance in financial matters, Lokesh said to be unable to pacify them.
Usually, whichever of the two wants to take financial decisions, the approval of the executive committee is required. But MP Kesineni Chinni, who is the president of ACA, is making promises and donating crores of rupees, without any consent from the executive committee. With this, another MP and secretary Sana Satish Babu is adamant that he will not sign to release the money.
In fact, only the secretary and treasurer have the check power in the association. Chinni, who is the president without any connection with either of them, has announced assistance for the Vijayawada floods and an incentive for the Vizag boy Nitish Kumar Reddy who excelled in Australia.
Now Satish Sasemira says that he will not release funds for these. Against this backdrop, Kesineni Chinni and Sana Satish Babu have approached Minister Nara Lokesh. It seems that they have filed mutual complaints of non-cooperation. However, since both of them are close to him, Lokesh is unable to take any decision. With this, Lokesh is getting frustrated because he cannot spare either of them or tell them to adjust.
